GTMS Science Club students participated in the Junior Division at the Jersey Shore Science Fair held at Stockton University, Saturday, March 19.
The GTMS Jazz Band performed in the Southern Regional Jazz Festival on Friday, March 18. 8th grader Yasmin Mourad was named our the GTMS Best Musician and our Trombone section was named Best Section out of the 7 bands in our division!
In celebration of Black History Month, GTMS hosted the South Jersey African American Heritage Museum in the library on Thursday, February 18. Absegami High School scheduling will take place in the GTMS library February 1, 3, 4, 9 and 10. Letters were sent home with your child’s appointment date and time. Please remind your child of the date and time of their scheduled appointment. Thank you!
On Thursday, January 7, 2016, Absegami High School Counselors will visit with the 8th grade students for an overview of course selections and scheduling.
The GTMS Concert Band and Chorus will be performing the winter concert Wednesday, December 16 at 7:00 PM.
The Hour of Code is a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics. Tens of millions of students around the world will try an Hour of Code during December 7-13, in celebration of Computer Science Education Week.
GTMS students will have the opportunity to participate in the Hour of Code in Engineering Design classes on December 10 & 11. Students that do not have Engineering Design this marking period are welcome to participate as well! Go to https://code.org/learn and try a tutorial!
GTMS parent-teacher conferences will be held Thursday, December 3 from 1:00-4:00 PM.
The GTMS library and FSA are sponsoring a book fair Monday, October 26 through Thursday, October 30 from 8:00 AM-2:00 PM.
Students will visit the book fair with their ELA teacher and may purchase books during that visit or any day of the fair with a teacher’s permission. The book selection can be previewed at the book fair homepage by clicking on the link below. Books can also be ordered online and they will be delivered to the school. Please make checks payable to GTMS. Thank you for supporting our book fair!

7th grade orientation will be at Galloway Township Middle School on Tuesday, August 18. Incoming 7th grade students and parents are invited to meet staff members, tour the building, and learn about the programs and activities at GTMS.

Talent was on display at the GTMS Talent Show on Friday night! The performances were terrific and everyone had a great time! Congratulations to the winners: Shiah Stowe, Makael Rogers, and Sydney Mullin!!!
